The Glenwood Baseball League formed in the spring of 1920 in
downtown Erie and continues a strong tradition of competitive amateur baseball
today. The wood bat league features top adult athletes and teams from all over
Western Pennsylvania and New York.

TESCO formed in 1993 and got off to a rocky start with a 1-19 inaugural season. It took a few years to get the team
moving in the right direction, and the 1998 campaign marked the first of thirteen post season appearances including the
GBL Regular Season Titles in 2003, 2007 & 2009, Divisional Titles in 2004 & 2005, and six Glenwood League
Championship Titles, the second most by any team in nearly a century of Glenwood History.
TESCO's nineteen seasons mark the second longest active Glenwood sponsorship in the circuit today behind long time
rival Harrington Industrial Laundry. In a decade and a half the team has compiled a 263-193 overall record, including six
league titles and numerous individual honors. In August 2003 TESCO earned the WSEE 35 Team of the Week honor,
and again in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010 WICU TV 12 honored the squad with the WICU Team of the Week
award.
After the 2008 season the team faced a major re-construction and re-dedication to meet the new challanges of a highly
competitive league. The decision paid dividends right away with the squad capturing the regular season title and post
season championship titles in 2009 and another Title in 2010. The squad surrendered the Title in 2011, but we look
toward 2012 with a single goal of reclaiming the Glenwood Title.
