8/17 - TESCO successfully defended the Glenwood Title Wednesday Evening defeating ECCA 5-1 and taking the series three games to two. The champs came right out of the gate scoring three in the 1st on a walk , an error and four consecutive hits. TESCO added two more in the second on RBI base hits by Dave Meyner and Brian King, both of whom ended with 2 hits and 2 RBIs each. ECCA plated a run in the 4th on Chris Brown's sac fly and teammate Dave Gnacinski knocked a pair of singles.
Ryan Frederick tossed a complete game seven hitter, fanning three along the way. The victory notches TESCO's third Title since the switch to wood bats in 2003. ECCA capped off an outstanding season fighting their way through the Wildcard round after starting a game down to the Mad Scoops, and again dug themselves out of a hole in the Divisional Round against Nagy's Bulls to earn the trip to the finals. They stood on the brink of elimination in game four and battled back to force a game five.

8/14 - Glenwood's Comeback Kids struck again last evening at Ainsworth defeating defending Champions TESCO 3-0 to tie the series at 2 games each, setting up tonight's game 5 meeting. ECCA has faced elimination in each of the Playoff stages this year and fought back to force a final game.
Dave Gnacinski tossed a one hitter to lead ECCA, while teamates Eric Harpster and Chris Brown knocked in two of ECCA's three runs. The two teams meet at 5:45 and the winner takes home the title.

8/13 - TESCO downed ECCA 6-2 Sunday at Ainsworth to take a one game lead in the five game Championship Series. ECCA drew first blood in the 2nd as Tony Rogowski knocked a lead-off double, advanced to third on Kirk Reynold's sac bunt and scored on Bo Corbett's ground-out to 2nd base. The lead held until the 4th when TESCO answered with back to back doubles by Jorge Melendez and John Fette. TESCO took the lead in the 5th on Brian King's two run double, plating Lee Rohan and Chris Hay. ECCA moved back within one run in the bottom of the inning as Eric Harpster walked, advanced to third on Derek Candela's double and scored on Dave Gnacinski's ground out to short.
TESCO pulled out of reach in the top of the 7th scoring 3 runs on four hits and a walk. ECCA's Ryan Starr earned the iron man award coming back on twenty four hours rest to start his second game in as many days garnering the loss despite six innings work. TESCO's Ryan Frederick earned the win with 5 innings work striking out 5 and Dave Lanagan worked the final two innings earning the save. The two teams get a day's rest before meeting again Tuesday for Game 4.

8/12 - TESCO defeated ECCA Saturday 12-0 to even up the Championship Series at a game each. The TESCO offense erupted for 16 hits led by Brian King, Jorge Melendez and John Fette with 3 hits each; with King, Fette and Randy Norman each knocking in two runs. Matt Palisin tossed 4 innings for the win fanning 4 and only allowing 2 hits. Dave Lanagan tossed the last inning of scoreless relief striking out two. The finalists meet again Sunday Afternoon at 2:00 at Ainsworth.

8/11 - ECCA drew first blood in the five game Championship Series Thursday defeating TESCO 3-2 to take a one game lead. Dave Gnacinski earned the complete game win scattering 4 hits over seven innings and fanning four. Derek Candela knocked ECCA's sole RBI and Ryan Starr paced the offense with a pair of hits. ECCA scored the game winner in the top of the 7th taking advantage of two TESCO errors. Corey Walters accounted for two of TESCO's 4 hits. The teams meet again Saturday for Game Two.

8/9 ECCA defeated Nagy's Tree Farm 7-0 Tuesday Evening at Ainsworth to earn its first trip to the Glenwood

Championship Series. The Wild Card Team came from a one game deficit to defeat 2nd Place Mad Scoops in the Wild Card Series, and again in the Divisional Playoffs overcame a one game hole to secure a spot in the Finals. Jeff Ernst and Ryan Starr combined for the shutout scattering 3 hits and fanning five Bulls. Kirk Reynolds and Chris Brown paced the attack with a pair of RBIs and doubles respectively.
ECCA meets defending Champions TESCO in the Finals starting Thursday at Ainsworth at 5:45. The best of five series runs through the weekend on Saturday and Sunday and concludes Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

8/8 - TESCO advanced to the 2006 Championship Series by defeating Harrington Industrial Laundry 5-1 at Ainsworth Monday Night. Ryan Frederick led the way by earning the complete game win scattering eight hits to limit the Harrington offense to one run. Brian King paced the TESCO offense with two doubles and an RBI, while teammates Big Cat Veith and Chris Hay knocked two hits each. Nick Kulyk knocked two doubles for Harrington.
TESCO now awaits the winner of the ECCA vs. Nagy's Bulls game Tuesday Evening for the Championship Series starting Thursday at Ainsworth. Ferraro Divisional Champ Harrington had the league's best regular season record, ending the 2006 season with an 18-5 mark.

8/7 - ECCA Payroll Services erupted for 11 runs on 11 hits to tie the Pontiac Divisional series 1 to 1 against Nagy's Bulls Sunday Afternoon at Ainsworth. ECCA only needed five innings to come back and grab game two in the best of three series 11-1. Ryan Starr earned the victory, fanning 7 in five innings work. ECCA sluggers Brett Krizanik, Dave Gnacinski, Zack Leslie, Kirk Reynolds and Derrek Candela all joined the two hit club for the afternoon. The two teams will meet in the finale at 5:45 Tuesday Evening at Brabender Field to decide who will advance to the finals.

8/6 - Nagy's Bulls took the first game in the best of three Pontiac Divisional Playoff Series Saturday defeating ECCA 3-1. Nagy's T.J. Stafford slammed the big hit after the Bulls packed the bases in the sixth and Stafford delivered a single plating two runs. Travis Butcher earned the complete game win fanning 6 and scattering 4 hits. Dave Gnacinski took the loss for ECCA despite tossing a complete game and striking out 6.

Nagy's and ECCA continue the series today at Ainsworth starting at 2:00. The third and final game will be held Tuesday 8/8 at 5:45 Brabender (unless the Ferraro Divisional Series is over and the game would transfer to Ainsworth)

8/5 - TESCO struck first against Harrington Industrial Laundry in the best of three Divisional Playoff Series Friday night at Ainsworth. All the runs were plated in the first inning and a half, and TESCO held on to win 7 to 5. TESCO scored three right off the bat only to watch Harrington answer with a five run first, lead by Brian Shaffer with two RBIs. TESCO came right back with a four run second inning and then relied on starter Matt Palisin to cool the Harrington bats. Palisin went the distance whiffing eight to earn the decision and Jorge Melendez paced the TESCO attack with three hits and three RBIs. The teams meet again Monday Night at Ainsworth.
The Pontiac Divisional Playoff Series opens at Ainsworth today featuring Division Leader Nagy's Tree Farm against Wild Card Winner ECCA Payroll Services. The teams will play Saturday and Sunday 2:00 games at Ainsworth with the third and final date set for Tuesday.

8/3 - The Wild Card Series concluded Wednesday night with ECCA eliminating The Mad Scoops 6-5 at Ainsworth Field. Jeff Ernst tossed six innings and fanned 4 to earn the victory. Dave Gnacinski led the ECCA offense with a pair of doubles, RBIs and a single. He was joined by teammates Ryan Starr, Kirk Reynolds and Chris Brown as multiple hit contributors to the 12 hit attack. ECCA now faces Nagy's Bulls in this weekend's Playoff Series at Ainsworth. The Mad Scoops earned 2nd place in the Ferraro division and secured a playoff bid for the second straight year.

8/2 - The Wild Card Series Action continued Tuesday Evening at Ainsworth and Brabender. At Ainsworth ECCA evened the series 1-1 with a 9-2 win over the Mad Scoops. Mike Freeman swung the hot bat for ECCA knocking four hits including a 3 run homer. Ryan Star tossed a complete game for the win scattering 4 hits over seven innings and whiffing three. Dave Gnacinski, Kirk Reynolds and Zach Leslie each knocked a pair of hits to join Freeman in the 13 hit ECCA attack. With the series tied 1-1 the teams meet tonight at Ainsworth for the finale, with the winner facing Nagy's Bulls this weekend.
TESCO ended Miller Erie Hardinger's solid season Tuesday with a 9-1 victory at Brabender Park. Randy Norman got the nod on the hill and answered with a six inning three hitter, fanning 5 Miller Batters. John Fette and Dave Lanagan paced the TESCO attack with three hits each and Ryan Frederick tossed a perfect seventh to close the game. Lee Rohan and Brian King added two hits and a RBI each in the 11 hit attack. TESCO advances to the Divisional Playoff Round against Harrington Industrial Laundry in a best of three series starting 5:45 Friday evening at Ainsworth. Hats off to Miller's Erie Hardinger for a much improved season in 2006.

8/1 - Wild Card Series Begins! The second place team from the Pontiac Division TESCO defeated Miller's Erie Hardinger in a tight contest at Ainsworth Field Monday. Despite the hot temperatures both teams played solid defense behind their starters to limit both offenses to 7 hits. Matt Palisin took a perfect game into the sixth but with one out Keith Bator roped a single to right. Palisin finished with six knockouts for the complete game win. Miller's Jake Spiker tossed a complete game six hitter for the tough luck loss. Dave Meyner and Brian King hit back to back doubles in the first inning for the only score of the game. TESCO takes a 1 game lead in the best of three series.
The Ferraro Division Wild Card Series started with a tight game at Brabender as The Mad Scoops defeated ECCA Payroll Services 2-0. Andy Cantor tossed a complete game shutout for the Scoops scattering 7 hits and fanning 4. Dave Gnacinski took the loss for ECCA, despite scattering eight hits and only allowing 2 runs. Nelson Reisdorph swung the hot lumber for the Scoops slamming two hits, while teammate Matt Duda knocked the game's lone RBI. The Scoops take a one game lead in the best of three series.

   July 30th - The regular season ended Saturday with Harrington overwhelming the Ferraro Division Pennant and Nagy's Tree Farm edging TESCO with a 2 to 3 head to head record to earn the Pontiac Division Title.
    ECCA ended their season with a 11-0 thumping of Knox Law to eran the #1 Wild Card Spot. Billy Scholz and Zach Leslie knocked 3 hits each in the 11 hit attack and 5 ECCA hurlers combined to limit the Lawmen to one hit. Knox ends their season with a 4-17 mark
    In a battle of Pennant winners Harrington defeated Nagy's 10-2 at Ainsworth Saturday. Josh Dziomba paced the Laundrymen with three hits and three RBIs, while three Harrington hurlers combined to limit the Bulls to 2 runs on 4 hits. Nick Kulyk and Brian Shaffer each knocked a pair of hits for the Ferraro champions.
    Miller's Erie Hardinger traveled to Northwestern High School to battle the Mad Scoops Saturday, earning the win 7-1 to lock up the #2 Wild Card Spot. Miller's Rob Adamczyk tossed a two hitter for the complete game win, taking a no no into the sixth. Mike Baniszewski and Mike Dunkle each plated a pair of runs for Millers.
    The Bisons ran into trouble fielding a team down the stretch forfeiting their last three games to end the season 5-16.

    July 28th - Rain washed out both games Thursday night leaving us with three days of regular season left. ECCA and The Mad Scoops agreed not to reschedule the game as it cannot affect their playoff seed or regular season standing. Nagy's Bulls and The Bisons will meet tonight at 6:00 at Brabender.
    The protest committee met last Sunday and voted to overturn the forfeit of the 7/17 ECCA/Nagy's Bulls Game. ECCA was winning 2-0 at the time of the stoppage. Coach Nagy exercised his right not to continue the game.

July 27th - Harrington Industrial Laundry jumped to a early lead and hung on to defeat TESCO 7-5 at Ainsworth Wednesday Night. The Laundrymen did most of their damage in the 2nd with a string of base hits and TESCO miscues to load the bases for Ryan Neitupski, who knocked a grand slam off of Roosevelt School in Right Field. TESCO battled back scoring 2 in the 3rd and three in the sixth, but Joe Spano was able to hold on for the win. Rickey Hulsinger got the save with three innings relief work. Neitupski and Josh Dziomba knocked three hits and Nick Schnaars poked two to pace the Harrington Attack. Brian King plated 3 RBI's for TESCO.
The Mad Scoops defeated ECCA 3-1 at Brabender Wednesday behind Ray DuVaul's complete game 7 strikeout performance. Matt Duda, Mike Hyde and Jeremy Lightner each knocked 2 hits to pace the Scoops offense. The game was not submitted to the Times News.

July 26th - ECCA defeated The Bisons 14-7 Tuesday Evening at Ainsworth to secure their hold on the #1 wild card spot. Eric Harpster homered and doubled to lead the ECCA Attack joined by teammates Bo Corbett and Brett Krizanik with two hits each. Dan Laughner picked up the win for ECCA. The Bisons fall one game behind Miller's Erie Hardinger for the second Wild Card spot with a 5-13 mark.

July 25th - Nagy's Bulls remain a half game in front in the Pontiac Division after downing the Mad Scoops Monday Evening at Brabender 3-0. Travis Butcher tossed a one hitter for the Bulls mowing down nine Scoops on his way to the complete game win. Jon McCune and Jared Wiggers knocked two hits each to pace Nagy's offense.
Harrington only needed five innings to earn the 11-1 decision over Miller's Erie Hardinger Monday Night at Ainsworth. Tim Pohorence tossed all five to earn the victory while teammates Tom Gardner and Nick Kulyk lead the offense with two base knocks each. Eric Manendo had three RBIs for the Laundrymen who clinched the #1 post season seed with the victory.

   July 24th - In the first game of the Sunday triple header at Ainsworth TESCO blanked the Mad Scoops 11-0. Ryan Frederick limited the Scoops to 3 hits over five innings and struck out six to earn the win. Jorge Melendez led the 13 hit attack with three RBIs while teammate Lee Rohan and Dave Meyner scored three runs each. Matt Duda accounted for two of the Scoops three hits.
    Nagy's Bulls blanked Knox Law in the second game 7-0 behind Al Lawrence's complete game 8 strikeout performance. Jared Wiggers, Adam Donato and Ford Eisenman knocked a pair of hits each to lead the Nagy Attack, while Doug Gerould had three safties for the lawmen.
    In the nightcap Harrington Industrial Laundry defeated ECCA 11-5 behind Ryan Neitupski's 4 hit 3 RBI performance. Nick Kulyk had four hits as well while teammate Ricky Hulsinger picked up the complete game win. Brett Krizanik knocked three hits to lead ECCA.

July 23rd - Harrington clubbed The Bisons Friday Night at Ainsworth 13-0 behind Ricky Hulsinger's seven strikeout shutout performance. Erik Glus ripped a homer, a triple and knocked in three runs to lead the offense. Tom Gardner and Charlie Spano knocked in a pair of runs each in the twelve hit attack.
Knox Law edged TESCO 4-3 in the lone game Saturday spared by the rain. Jarred Kilpatrick led the Lawmen with four hits and two RBI's including a walk off homer in the bottom of the seventh. Dave Gerard tossed the complete game for the win, fanning two along the way. The Lawmen raise their record to 4-14 with the win.

July 21st - The Mad Scoops fortified their hold on 2nd place in the Ferraro Division with a 7-2 decision over Knox Law Thursday Night at Ainsworth. Ray DuVaul struck out 11 in six innings work to earn the win and Shane Elzer fanned three in relief. Brad Blood had the hot bat for the Scoops with two base knocks and a RBI. Nick Gerard led the Lawmen with an RBI double.
TESCO defeated Miller's Erie Hardinger in a Thursday make-up game at Brabender . Jorge Melendez, Lee Rohan and Big Cat Veith had three hits each in the 17 hit attack, with Rohan and Veith enjoying three hit games on back to back nights. Dave Lanagan tossed a complete game fanning nine to earn the win. Miller's Matt Lewis had a bases loaded double in the 3rd to knock in his 3 RBIs.

July 20th - TESCO defeated Miller's Erie Hardinger 6-1 behind Matt Palisin's complete game six strikeout performance. The "Big Cat" Fred Veith and Lee Rohan Paced the TESCO attack with three hits each while Dave Meyner and Veith plated 2 runs each. Jeremy Miller and Brandon Fresch knocked two singles each for Millers. TESCO remains a half game behind Nagy's Bulls awaiting the protest of Tuesday's game, while Millers remains ahead of the Bisons for the last wildcard spot.
The Tuesday ECCA @ Nagy's Bulls game was forfeited in the forth inning by the umpires. The decision is currently under protest and will be settled shortly.

July 18th - Knox Law defeated The Bisons 4-0 behind Don Henry's five strikeout complete game shutout. Knox's Jarrod Kilpatrick platted two runs to lead the offense. The Bisons fall a game and a half behind Millers in the hunt for the final Wild Card spot while the Lawmen up their record to 3-13.

    July 17th - Triple Header at Ainsworth. The first contest pit Harrington against the Mad Scoops in a Battle of #s 1 & 2 in the Ferraro Division. The Mad Scoops emerged victorious 6-3 behind Andy Cantor's complete game win. Shane Elzer and Zach Sullivan paced the Scoop's offense with a pair of safeties each. Harrington's Nick Kulyk plated a pair of runs. The Laundrymen remain firmly entrenched in the #1 spot at 13-3 while the Scoops up their record to 6-9.
    Miller's Erie Hardinger defeated division rival ECCA 7-4 in the middle game Sunday to take a full game lead in the wild card race. Dave Schuyler fanned six batters in 5 innings work to earn the victory while teammate Mat Heslop picked up the save with two scoreless innings relief. The Miller attack was led by Brandon Fresch, Tom Danias and Rob Adamczyk with 2 RBIs each.
    TESCO overcame division leader Nagy's Bulls 4-2 in the seventh inning to trim the division lead to a half game. TESCO's Ryan Frederick hurled 5 innings with 8 strikeouts and no earned runs, and teammate Matt Palisin pitched two scoreless innings in relief to earn the victory. TESCO started the 7th inning with two singles and a bobbled bunt to load the bases with no outs. Fred "Big Cat" Veith knocked a two run double and Corey Walters followed with a sac fly to pull ahead for good.

July 16th - Saturday's doubleheader started with Nagy's Bulls taking on Miller's Erie Hardinger at Ainsworth. The Bulls emerged with a 7-0 victory and strengthened their hold on the #1 spot in the Pontiac Division. Jarod Wiggers earned the win with four innings work while teammates Mark Tupek and Jon McCune paced the offense with 3 and 2 RBIs respectively
In the nightcap the Bisons edged the Mad Scoops in nine innings to make up ground in the hunt for second place in the Ferraro Division. Ian Beezub tossed a complete game fanning 10 Scoops to earn the win. Don Massoud doubled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. Massoud and Teammate Tim Campbell had two hits a piece to lead the Bison Offense.

July 15th - TESCO gained sole position of second place in the Pontiac Division with a 2-1 win over ECCA at Brabender Field Friday Night. Randy Norman tossed a three hit nine strikeout complete game win. Lee Rohan stroked two singles to lead the TESCO attack while teammates Brian King and Jorge Melendez drove in a run each.

July 14th - Harrington Captures Ferraro Pennant! On the strength of a 9-0 win over Knox Law Thursday Evening Harrington Industrial Laundry captures the Ferraro Divisional Pennant and earns a first round playoff bye. Pete Geddes pitched a complete game shutout with 7 Ks along the way. Joe Spano paced the offense with 3 hits and 3 RBIs while teammate Rick Iacobucci added a pair of hits and runs.
Miller's Erie Hardinger edged The Bisons 2-1 last night at Ainsworth to take the lead in the hunt for the last wildcard spot. Miller's Mike Dunkle fanned 6 and only allowed one run to earn the complete game victory. Tom Danias led the attack with a RBI Double. Millers improves to 5-8, while the Bisons fall to 4-10.

July 12th - Nagy's Bulls stregthened their hold on first place in the Pontiac Division with a 14-0 clubbing of The Bisons Tuesday night at Ainsworth. Travis Butcher led the way with a complete game shutout fanning 8 in six innings work. Victor Ortiz paced the offense with 2 hits and 4 RBIs, while teammate Matt Stephany added a pair of base knocks and a pair of RBIs.

   July 10th - TESCO kept pace in the Pontiac Division by defeating Knox Law 7-0 at Brabender Monday Evening. Ryan Frederick brought a perfect game into the fifth inning and ended with the complete game shutout fanning six along the way. Jorge Melendez and John Carlos Pagan knocked three hits a piece to pace the TESCO attack.
    Harrington edged Nagy's Bulls to win the battle of division leaders Sunday afternoon at Ainsworth. Joe Spano knocked the go ahead run with a homer in the seventh and earned the save with a scoreless inning in relief. Ricky Hulsinger picked up the win with six innings of work. Both teams remain atop their respective divisions.
    ECCA defeated Knox Law 7-2 in the first game Sunday Afternoon.

    July 9th - Friday Evening Miller's Erie Hardinger defeated Knox Law 8-1 at Ainsworth Behind Carl Adamczyk's complete game four strikeout performance. Zach Brant lead the attack with three runs batted in while teammates Jeremy Miller and Mike Baniszewski added two each.
    In the first game in Saturday's Triple header at Ainsworth The Mad Scoops survived nine innings to fend off Miller's Erie Hardinger 7-6. Mike Hyde drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth while teammates Shane Elzer and Matt Duda each added three hits. Two of Duda's hits were doubles, and Hyde drove in three runs. Andy Canter picked up the win in relief going six innings and fanning 10. The Scoops slide into second place in the Ferraro Division with the win.
    Harrington overwhelmed TESCO in Saturday's second game 10-2 with a twelve hit attack. Joe Spano tossed a six hitter to get the complete game win. Teammates Erik Glus, Tom Gardner, Brian Shaffer and Shawn Wallace each clubbed two hits and Glus had two RBIs. Harrington remains perched alone atop the Ferraro Division.
    ECCA edged the Bisons in the nightcap 3-2. Ryan Starr led the charge with a complete game five hitter fanning six on his way to the win. Bob Hammer led the Bison attack with three hits and 2 RBIs. The win places ECCA in a tie with TESCO for second place in the Pontiac Division, while the loss drops the Bisons into third place in the Ferraro Division.

July 7th - Nagy's Bulls extended their lead in the Pontiac Division by defeating the Mad Scoops at Brabender Field Thursday Evening 4-1. Travis Butcher led the way with an eleven strikeout three hit performance and was supported at the plate by Jon McCune with three hits and Adam Donato with 2 RBIs. The Scoops fall to third place in the Ferraro Division.

July 6th - TESCO defeated the Bisons Wednesday evening at Ainsworth 8-0 behind Ryan Frederick and Matt Palisin's complete game shutout. Frederick struck out 8 on his road to the win while Palisin wiffed one in two innings of relief. Brian King and Lee Rohan both had two hits and 3 and 2 RBIs respectively to pace the TESCO attack. TESCO settles in at 7-4 while the Bisons fall into a tie at 4-7 with the Mad Scoops for 2nd place in the Ferraro Division.

July 4th - Harrington defeated The Bisons Monday night at Ainsworth to increase their hold on first place in the Ferraro Division. The Laundrymen edged the Bisons 5-4 with Nick Kulyk doubling home Tim Poherence in the bottom of the seventh to capture the win. Joe Spano earned the victory with a complete game 11 strikeout performance in addition to a knocking in a pair of runs. Teammate Shawn Wallace added a pair of RBIs.

July 3rd - ALL STAR GAME -The Ferraro Division defeated The Pontiac Division 8-5 in the 2006 Glenwood All-Star Game Sunday at Ainsworth field. Rickey Hulsinger picked up the win throwing two innings and striking out a pair. The Mad Scoop's Matt Duda was named the game's MVP for his two hit, two run performance and joined Bob Hammer (The Bisons) as Ferraro's only two hit batters. TESCO's Lee Rohan led the Pontiac Division with a three hit, 2 RBI and 2 stolen base game. Miller's Jeremy Miller added a pair of singles.
Harrington's Ryan Neitupski defeated teammate Shawn Wallace to win the 2006 Home Run Derby. Neitupski hit a total of 25 home runs in three rounds. Box Score and rosters posted in results/awards page.

June 30th - Nagy's Bulls notched another mark in the win column with a 9-1 victory over Knox Law last night at Ainsworth. Matt Hill and Adam Donato slammed three hits a piece while Alan Lawrence tossed a four hitter for the win. The Bulls remain on top of the Pontiac Division with a 8-3 record, while Knoxs falls to 2-8.
Rain cancelled the TESCO/Mad Scoops meeting Tuesday but held off at Brabender last night for an eight inning pitchers duel. TESCO's Randy Norman fanned nine batters in his eight innings for the win, while Scoops counterpart Ray Duvaul wiffed 6 in his 7 1/3 innings of work. Lee Rohan scored from second base on a Brian King Single to centerfield. TESCO climbs a rung to second place in the Pontiac division while the Scoops remain in 3rd in the Ferraro Division.

June 27th - Miller's Erie Hardinger upset second place ECCA in the Pontiac Division Monday night at Brabender Field 8-7. Millers stormed back in the bottom of the seventh with Carl Adamczyk's RBI Double to tie the game. After loading the bases Keith Bator drew a walk to win the game. Bator also earned the complete game victory on the hill striking out four along the way. Dave Gnacinski had three hits and Bo Corbet 3 RBIs for ECCA.

June 26th - Triple Header at Ainsworth. Ian Beezub led the Bisons past the Mad Scoops to begin action Sunday with a 7-3 victory for sole possession of 2nd place in the Ferraro Division. Beezub threw a five hitter for the win while teammate Aaron Compton added a pair of RBI's to lead the offense.
ECCA Payroll Services captured 2nd place in the Pontiac Division in a 15-8 mudfest with Harrington Industrial Laundry. Ryan Star got the win on the hill and added a pair of RBIs, while teammates Mike Kuhar plated three and Todd Eckhard knocked in two. Eric Mannendo knocked in four runs for the Laundrymen. Harrington remains in first place in the Ferraro Division.
In the last game of the day Travis Butcher led Nagy's Bulls past TESCO in a classic pitchers duel to solidify their hold on first place in the Pontiac Division. Both Butcher and TESCO's Matt Palisin threw four hitters with 10 and 8 strikeout respectively. Ford Eiserman paced the offense with a pair of hits.

    June 25th - Harrington extended their lead in the Ferraro Division with a 12-0 clubbing of last place Knox Law Friday Night. Dave Graham lead the way with a complete game shutout earning his first win of the season.
    Saturday's contests were much closer with both games ending with one run leads. Nagy's Bulls defeated Miller's Erie Hardinger 5-4 to claim sole position of 1st place in the Pontiac Division. Mat McCool earned the victory with 4 2/3 innings of work.
    The Mad Scoops solidified their second place standing with a 2-1 victory against Knox Law. Andy Cantor earned the complete game victory with nine strikeouts, while Matt Duda set up the winning run by leading off the fourth inning with a double. Mike Hyde plated him with a single.

June 21st - ECCA battled back from a seven run deficit to defeat Nagy's Bulls 9-8 at Ainsworth Tuesday evening. Jeff Ernst earned the win in relief and plated the go ahead run in the 6th inning. Kirk Reynolds swung the bit bat for ECCA driving in three runners. The loss drops Nagy's down to 5-3 while ECCA remains a game behind in the Pontiac Division with a 5-4 mark.
TESCO defeated the Mad Scoops yesterday 6-1 at Brabender field behind Ryan Frederick's complete game three hitter. Ryan fanned 10 Scoops on the day. Lee Rohan and Jorge Melendez each had a pair of RBI's while teammate Dave Lanagan stroked 3 hits in the 13 hit attack. The victory places TESCO in a tie for first in the Pontiac Division while the Scoops drop into a tie for second place in the Ferraro Division.

June 20th - Last night at Brabender Field Harrington Industrial Laundry defeated the Mad Scoops 5-4 to extend their hold on first place with a 7 and 1 record. Joe Spano earned the win hurling a complete game with four strikeouts while his brother Charlie hit the go ahead two run single in the bottom of the seventh. Nick Schnarrs, Brian Shaffer, Tom Gardner and the Spano Brothers each had a pair of hits in the contest. The Scoops drop to 3 - 4 and remain in second place in the Ferraro Division.

    June 18 - Happy Father's Day! - In Friday's lone contest ECCA ended Harrington Industrial Laundry's undefeated streak with a 8-5 win at Ainsworth. Ryan Starr came on in relief to earn the win and Brett Krizanik stroked the winning RBI double. Harrington got a long ball from Shawn Wallace. The Laundrymen dropped to 6-1 with the setback.
    In Saturday's first contest Miller's Erie Hardinger upset the Mad Scoops 6-2 behind Matt Burn's six inning, five strikeout performance. Jason Petak paced the offense with a pair of RBI's. Miller's upped their record to 2-5 with the victory while the Scoops remain in 2nd place in the Ferraro Division with a 3-3 mark.
    TESCO defeated ECCA in the second game 5-1 for sole possession of second place in the Pontiac Division. Randy Norman earned the win with a 10 K two hitter, while Brian King and Juan Pagan knocked in a pair of runs each.
    In the final contest of the triple-header The Bisons defeated Knox Law 4-3 to move up in the standings into the third spot in the Ferraro Division. Jason Collins led the way with the win on the hill as well as a bases loaded double to plate three runs.

June 16th - Nagy's Bulls defeated Knox Law 7-0 at Ainsworth last night as four Bull's Hurlers combined to two hit the Lawmen. Aaron Skalko earned the win and Sean Beers plated two runs to pace Nagy's offense. This ups the Bulls to 5-2 while Knox falls to 2-5.

June 14th - Last night at Ainsworth Nagy's Bulls strengthened their hold on first place in the Pontiac Division by defeating The Mad Scoops 4-1. Travis Butcher led the way on the mound fanning 14 in the complete game victory. Matt Hill smacked a pair of doubles for the Bulls, while Shane Elzer accounted for the Scoop's lone tally with a solo Home run in the 6th inning.
TESCO ended their three game loosing streak Tuesday with a ten run victory over The Bisons at Brabender. Ryan Frederick recorded the five inning shutout with eight strikeouts and John Fette paced the offense with four RBIs. Brian King and Dave Lanagan added a pair of RBI's each.

June 12th - Harrington remains undefeated! Harrington defeated Pontiac Division leading Nagy's Bulls Sunday at Ainsworth 9-4 on the strength of Joe Spano's complete game eight strikeout win. Erik Glus, Nick Kulyk and Shawn Wallace each added a pair of hits in the victory. The Bisons also notched another tally in the victory column with a nail biter win over Miller's Erie Hardinger 7-6. Bob Hammer plated Chris Smith in the bottom of eight to go ahead for good. Josh Warren earned the victory on the hill. In Saturday's first contest ECCA defeated Knox Law 6-2.
ECCA defeated The Bisons in Friday's lone contest 5-2 to the strength of Jeff Ernst's complete game victory.

June 9th - Carl Adamczyk led Miller's Erie Hardinger past Knox in a rain-soaked five inning game last night at Ainsworth. Adamczyk pitched a two hit shutout for the win, while teammate Jay Petak slammed three singles with Tom Danias and Jeremy Miller each contributing 2 RBIs in the 11-0 victory. The win moves Miller's into the Win column for the first time this season and the Knox loss moves the team to 2-3.

June 8th - Harrington remains undefeated. Josh Leslie and Rickey Hulsinger combined to no-hit TESCO in Glenwood action Wednesday night. Russ Naturski had two hits and two RBIs to lead the laundrymen. Harrington moves to a perfect 5-0 mark on the season while TESCO falls to 2-3.

June 7th - The Bisons upset Pontiac Division 1st place Nagy's Tree Farm 1-0 in Glenwood action Tuesday night capturing their first victory of the season. Josh Warren earned the victory with 5 Ks in three innings while teammate Tim Campbell had two hits including a double. The Bulls fall to 3-1 while the Bisons get in the victory column at 1-3. The loss leaves Harrington Industrial Laundry as the lone undefeated team.

June 5th - The Mad Scoops improved to 3-1 on the season by defeating ECCA Payroll Services at Ainsworth Monday Night. Andy Cantor led the way with a two hit complete game shutout with six Ks along the way. Mike Hyde platted two runs for the second place squad. ECCA fell to 1-3 with the loss. Tonight at Ainsworth the Pontiac division's only undefeated team takes the field against the Bisons who are still in search of their first victory.

June 4th - Harrington keeps rolling. Ferraro Divisional Leader Harrington Laundry continued their winning ways Sunday with a 16-5 win over Miller's Erie Hardinger. Erik Glus provided the big hit with a grand slam to left field while Joe Spano earned the win on the hill. The Laundrymen rise to 4-0 and remain only one of two undefeated teams in the circuit. In the second game Knox Law defeated TESCO in their final at bat 5-4. Dan Henry earned the complete game victory while the Gerard brothers, Dave and Nick, paced the offense with a pair of hits each and three runs scored. The Lawmen increased their record to 2-2 with the victory. The loss capped a hard week for defending champs TESCO who fell to 2-2.

June 3rd - The Mad Scoops began the Saturday triple-header at Ainsworth with a hard fought 11 inning win over the Bisons to start the day. Nagy's Bulls edged TESCO in the second game 1-0 on the strength of Matt McCool's seven inning shutout. The win placed Nagy's Bulls alone atop the Pontiac Division joining Harrington as the only undefeated team going into inter divisional play. ECCA wrapped up the day with a 6-1 victory over Miller's Erie Hardinger as the skies finally opened up and soaked the players. Dan Laughner earned the complete game victory on the hill, and Jake Spiker hit the season first home run for Miller's sole tally.
In Friday's match-up Harrington defeated Knox 8-5 behind Shawn Wallace's 3 hit 3 RBI performance and Rickey Hulsinger's complete game win.

May 31st - TESCO defeated Miller's Erie Hardinger 8 to 2 at Ainsworth Wednesday night. The 13 hit TESCO
attack was led by Lee Rohan with three hits and 2 stolen bases and Jorge Melendez with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Ryan Frederick earned the win and Randy Norman the save. Brandon Fresch and Jake Spiker ended with 3 hits a piece for Millers who failed to capitalize on their twelve hits.

May 30th - Ferraro Division in action Tuesday - The Harrington offense showed up to greet the Bisons in a 10-2 beating at Ainsworth. Veterans Tom Gardner and Nick Kulyk batted in two runs each while Gannon standout Josh Dziomba scored three runs. Josh Leslie and Tim Poherence combined on a one hitter for the Laundrymen. The Mad Scoop's bats woke up to greet Knox Law at the Brabender contest Tuesday. Shane Elzer lead the attack with three hits while Dan Palmer secured the victory on the
hill with 8 K's in four innings work.

May 28th - Opening Weekend - Strong pitching performances set the tone as the 87th GBL Season Opened this weekend at Ainsworth. Travis Butcher and Matt McCool lead Nagy's Bulls pastMiller's Erie Hardinger limiting the Miller line-up to two hits in their 3-1 victory. The Knox offense spoiled the Bisons first Glenwood Game erupting for 13 unanswered runs on Saturday. The Spano Brothers blanked the Mad Scoops as Harrington won the first game on Sunday 4-0, with Joe earning the win and Charlie the Save.
Matt Palisin started the new season with a complete game shutout as TESCO blanked ECCA 2-0.

May 20th - Congratulations to several Glenwood players for their outstanding college seasons:

Shane Elzer from Penn State Behrend earned 1st Team All-AMCC Honors
and was selected Behrend 05/06 Male Athlete of the Year.

and shattered the CUP school SB record with 37 swipes in 43 attempts.

Acedemic All-District II Second Team.
