The Glenwood Baseball League formed in the spring of 1920 in
downtown Erie and continues a strong tradition of competitive amateur baseball
today. The wood bat league features top adult athletes and teams from all over
Western Pennsylvania and New York.

8-15-2011 Harrington Industrial Laundry Wins the 2011 Glenwood
Championship
The Laundrymen ruled the weekend defeating TESCO Saturday and Sunday 1-0 and 6-0 to sweep the defending Champs and
capture the 2011 Championship Title. Harrington's strong pitching silenced the TESCO offense with Matt Lewis tossing a four
hit, nine strikeout performance Saturday and Jim Britton authoring a three hit shutout Sunday, fanning four TESCO Batters.
Britton also ruled at the plate slamming a three run shot in the first inning and a long double to right in the fourth inning. Eric
Hansen also had a big game scoring two runs on two hits Sunday.
Harrington is the longest continuous sponsor in the Glenwood League with over twenty years of dominating performances. This
title marks the franchises sixth title, which is tied for second all-time in the Glenwood League.
8-12-2011 Harrington erupted for four runs in the second inning and held on to defeat TESCO 5-2 in the Championship Opener
Thursday Evening. With the bases loaded Joe Gnacinski stroked a single up the middle to plate a run, another scored on an
overthrow, and Bo Corbett singled to drive in the last two of the four run fourth. Ricky Hulsinger tossed a complete game four
hitter for the Laundrymen, allowing just two runs in the fifth inning. TESCO's Ray DeVaul also flipped a complete game, but took
the loss despite scattering seven hits and punching out four batters. The two teams meet again Saturday 2:00 at Ainsworth.

8-11-2011 Harrington's Matt Rensel scored the winning run in the bottom of seven on a wild pitch to propel Harrington Industrial
Laundry to victory over the Rambler 9 Wednesday at Ainsworth. The Ramblers jumped out to a two game advantage over the
Laundrymen, but Harrington rallied for three straight games to advance to the championship round. Matt Lewis earned the win in
relief and Josh Shorts plated the tying run with a seventh inning single.
Harrington captured the regular season crown with a 17 & 7 mark and will meet long time rival TESCO in the finals. With over 40
years combined sponsorship in the Glenwood League, Harrington and TESCO share eleven titles and are two of the most
successful franchises in the GBL's nine decades of history. The Championship round starts Thursday 8/11 at 5:45 Ainsworth.
8-9-2011 TESCO defeated Butera's Towing 16-6 Monday evening and won the best of five series to advance to the 2011 Finals. In
a series full of offense explosions, Monday's game was no exception. Jon Messina started the show for Butera's with a home run
to right field in his first at bat, and Dan burns slammed a three run shot, one of three hits on the day, in the third inning to give
Butera's the early lead. TESCO opened up the flood gates with three runs in the fourth and seven runs in the fifth to pull ahead
for good. Brandon Crum stroked three safties and plated a pair of runners, while teammates Lee Rohan, Brian King and John Fette
chipped in three RBIs each, Fette's all from a fifth inning homer to left field. Greg Radwan gutted out the complete game win
enduring five innings and striking out three.
Butera's Towing wrapped up another fine season overcoming some early setbacks to catch fire in July and end up with a 15-9
mark, good enough for third place. This concludes the Jamestown squad's fifth tour in the GBL circuit and in all five years they
advanced to the playoffs, making the finals in 2007 and 2009. TESCO awaits the winner of the Rambler 9/Harrington series
concluding tonight at Ainsworth 5:45.
8-8-2011 Harrington Industrial Laundry put together a strong weekend defeating the Rambler 9 5-1 on Saturday and 9-1 on
Sunday to even up the best of five series at two games a piece. Matt Lewis led the way Saturday authoring a complete game
fifteen strikeout masterpiece, and stroking an RBI double to center field to aid his own cause. Dave Gnacinski chipped in a pair of
RBI safties for the Laundrymen.
Butera's Towing evened the series Friday evening by clubbing TESCO 12-3 behind Ryan Lucas' complete game five strikeout
performance. Brett Heath delived the big slam with a bases clearing double in the third inning and teammate Tom Tantillo drove
home a pair of runners and Nick Lohrer crossed home plate three times.
TESCO answered on Saturday Morning with a 7-2 victory behind Matt Palisin's complete game seven hitter. Palisin punched out
six and walked none for the victory. Greg Radwan delivered the big hit with a two out two run double in the fourth inning. Game 4
takes place Monday evening at 5:45.
8-5-2011 The Rambler 9 edged Harrington Laundry 2-1 Thursday to take a two game advantage in the best of five playoff round.
Joe Lauria wore the golden shoes Thursday scoring both runs for the Ramblers. Lauria crossed home in the fourth inning on a
ground out and teammate Eric Hess plated him on a sixth inning two bagger. Brother Jamie Lauria earned the win in relief, tossing
an inning and a third to spell starter Landon Wall. Dave Spaeder closed out the final inning and notched the save.
Joe Gnacinski flipped a complete game five hitter and struck out seven, but took the hard luck loss for the regular season champs
Harrington Industrial Laundry. Jim Britton stroked a pair of safties to lead the Laundrymen charge.
8-4-2011 TESCO defeated Butera's Towing 11-1 in five innings Wednesday evening to take a one game advantage in the five
game series. Brian King delivered the big hit with a grand slam to right field in the fourth inning, and mobility challenged John
Fette plated a pair with a single in the third. Lee Rohan storked three hits including the game ender in the fifth frame. Ray DeVaul
tossed all five innings and struck out eight batters for the victory. The lone Butera run came off Josh Melquist's bat in the first
inning as he slammed a solo shot to right field.
8-3-2011 The Rambler 9 rallied behind Jeremy Cressley's right arm to defeat Harrington Industrial Laundry 4-1 at Ainsworth
Tuesday. Cressley authored a five inning shutout, knocking out six Laundrymen. Frank Lauria led the Rambler charge with a
three base knock and an RBI, finishing the contest along with teammate Phil Sorensen with two hits. Conner Connell added an
RBI to help pace the Rambler attack, which scored all four runs in the first four innings.
Ricky Hulsinger tossed a complete game and scattered eight hits, but saddled the loss for Harrington. Kirk Reynolds tallied the
lone run in the seventh with an RBI double. The two teams meet again Thursday evening at Ainsworth.
8-1-2011 The Regular Season concludes and playoffs begin!
Butera's Towing made the big move this weekend, defeating the Rambler 9 on Saturday and then sweeping Harrington at their
home field in Jamestown Sunday to move into third place in the final GBL standings. Josh Melquist led the charge in Game 1 with
three RBIs and a three bagger and teammate Brain Gunnell earned the win with a complete game five strikeout performance. The
Jamestown squad scored three in the bottom of the seventh in game 2 to sweep the series and pass the Rambler 9 in the final
standings.
Butera's Towing overcame a rough start to rally in July, and ultimately earn the third place spot. They will face TESCO starting
Wednesday in the first round of the playoffs - a replay of the 2007 and 2009 championship finals. Harrington Laundry coasted
easily into the top spot, leading the standings through the majority of the season. They will face the Rambler 9 Tuesday in the
first round.
TESCO downed the Rambler 9 Sunday at Ainsworth 6-2 to capture second place in the GBL final standings. Eric Harpster and
Shaine Patsilevas went back to back in the TESCO fifth inning taking turns chipping the bricks on Roosevelt School. Patsilevas
also earned the win in relief. The loss set the Rambler 9 back to fourth place after a fine season consistenly toward the top of the
standings. They will meet Harrington in round 1.
TESCO overcame a 2-6 start to rally for a 14-2 run to end the season one game removed from fellow veteran squad Harrington and
first place in the circuit. Injuries and player no-shows plagued the squad, before finding their form and putting together a mid
season charge. The Rambler 9 spent the whole season in the thick of things, never wandering more than a game or two from third
place all season. The second year squad will make its second appearance in the playoffs in 2011.
Buells Corners ended their 2011 season with a 4-2 win over Hunter's Inn/Bud Light. Nick Lombardo led the way with a complete
game victory and three strikouts. One of the early season favorites, the Bulls jumped out to a 6-1 start before faltering to a 5-12
run down the stretch.
7-29-2011 TESCO rallied for five runs in the forth to pull ahead of the Panthers Thursday Night at the Ainsworth Sauna and hung
on to win 12-8 in a darkness shortened contest. Lee Rohan led the TESCO charge with four RBIs on two hits, and Brian King
slammed home three runners. Greg Radwan earned the complete game victory and struck out three batters. Mike Ladesic led the
Panther counter attack going 3-3 with a triple and three runs scored.
7-28-2011 Hunter's Inn/Bud Light rallied twice from daunting deficits to overcome the Panthers Wednesday at Ainsworth 13-12.
Ian Beezub and Billy Ruhland led the Hunter charge plating three runs a peice and Jamie Gaertner knocked home the game winner
in the nine run Hunter's sixth inning. Doug Gerould toed the rubber and hung on for the win in relief fanning two Panthers in an
inning and a third of work. Bryan Colish continued swinging a scorching bat slamming home four runs to pace the Panther
charge. Down 12-4 in the bottom of the sixth frame Hunter's Inn/Bud Light tapped the keg for 9 runs and hung on in the top of
the seventh to earn thier second victory of the season.
7-27-2011 The Rambler 9 defeated Buells Corners 6-1 Tuesday Evening to finalize the final playoff spot for Butera's Towing.
Landon Wahl earned the victory tossing five innings and knocking out four Bulls, while teamates Tyler Fisher, Matt Adamczyk,
Phil Sorensen, Tyler Antolic and Ryan Bihler each plated runs to pace the offense. The final playoff order will be determined in
the next few games, but the top four teams have now clinched a spot.
7-26-2011 Harrington Industrial Laundry Captures Regular Season Title!
The Harrington Laundrymen captured the regular season title and top seed in the Playoffs by defeating the Panthers 4-2 Monday
at Ainsworth. Matt Rensel slammed his second homer of the season and drove in three runs to back Joe Gnacinski's complete
game two hitter. Gnacinski struck out nine Panthers in seven frames. Brother Dave knocked two singles as did Laundryman
second baseman Josh Shorts.
It was a busy weekend in the GBL with six games played over three days, starting with Harrington downing Hunter's Inn 5-3
Friday at Ainsworth. Brian Colish led the Panthers past Buells Corners Saturday tossing a complete game, fanning eight Bulls,
and knocking in four runs at the dish. The Panthers continued to feast on Bull Sunday, defeating Buells Corners 4-2 behind
Andy Wallen's complete game victory on the hill.
Butera's Towing ended the Panther's win streak with a 7-2 decision, before travelling to Brabender to dispense Hunter's Inn 5-2.
Nick Loher brough the big bat into town combining for four hits and four RBIs in the two games. TESCO ended Buell's Corners
long weekend with a 3-1 victory behind Ray DeVaul's complete game four hitter. Edwin Almonte saddled the tough loss despite
allowing only four safties and fanning eight.
7-22-2011 The Panthers edged Buells Corners 4-3 at Ainsworth Thursday Evening behind Tyler DeCrapio's complete game six
strikeout performance. Bryan Colish led the Panther attack with a two run triple, and teammates Sam Barber and Dave Bihler
added two hits each.
7-21-2011 It was a busy Wednesday in the GBL with three games scattered throughout Erie County. Harrington erupted for 15
runs to top Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 15-5 at Ainsworth. Matt Rensel swung the hot lumber for Harrington slamming five hits, six
RBIs and two doubles, while teammate Dave Gnacinski slammed two doubles and plated a pair of Laundrymen. Matt Lewis
earned the win, working three innings and striking out three, and he also swatted two hits. Josh Shorts chipped in three safties
and two RBIs to the Laundrymen attack.
TESCO edged The Panthers 4-3 at the sunscorched plains of Brabender Field. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the
seventh a wild pitch plated Zach Gall to end the game. In addition to the winning run Gall also stroked two hits and an RBI. Jeff
Jones earned the win tossing a complete game and punching out five, out dueling the Panther's Andy Wallen who also tossed a
complete game.
In Corry the Rambler 9 downed Butera's Towing 8-4 to remain locked in a tie for second place with TESCO. Eric Hess scored three
times for the Ramblers, and teamates Connor Connell, Phil Sorensen and Tyler Fisher each had two hits each. Jeremy Cressley
earned the win with five innings of work and six strikeouts, while Brian Gunnell saddled the loss for Butera's despite a complete
game effort, and two hits at the dish. Butera's falls to 10-9 with the loss.
7-19-2011 Harrington Laundry defended a bases loaded jam in the seventh inning to defeat the Rambler Nine 3-2 Monday
Evening at Ainsworth. Dave Gnacinski powered the Laundrymen victory, slamming the game winning homer in the fourth inning
and adding a pair of two base hits. Ricky Hulsinger picked up the win tossing four innings and punchin out four Ramblers. Matt
Adamczyk led the Nine with a trio of singles. Harrington sits alone atop the GBL standings while the Rambler 9 fall into a two way
tie with TESCO for second place.
TESCO downed The Panthers 7-3 at the Bender Monday behind Matt Palisin's complete game seven strikout performance. Lee
Rohan plated two runs on two hits and Brian King slammed three singles for TESCO. Dave Bihler led the Panther attack with
three hits, and teammate Brian Coolish saddled the tough loss despite tossing six innings and punching out seven batters.

The Rambler Nine began the weekend by blanking the Panthers 3-0 at Ainsworth Friday. Dave Spaeder picked up the win in relief
working two innings to finish Jeremy Cressley's five inning six strikout start. Joe Lauria stroked a two out single in the sixth
inning to key the Rambler three run frame. Tyler DeCrapio saddled the loss despite flipping a complete game seven hitter and
striking out six Ramblers.
Butera's Towing edged Buell's Corners Saturday 3-2 behind Jon Messina's walk off single in the seventh frame. Ford Eisenman
plated a run to give Buells Corners the 2-1 lead in the top frame before Butera's Brian Gunnell drove a deep fly to score the tying
run in the bottom of the inning to set up Messina's game winner. Joe Jagoda picked up the win in relief tossing four innings and
striking out a pair of Bulls. In the second game of the double header The Panthers defeated Butera's towing, but the score was
not reported.
Buell's Corners defeated Harrington 8-2 Sunday behind Edwin Almonte's five inning, eight strikeout effort. Cody Kodrick and
Darryl Howrey each plated a trio of Bulls and Tony Tupek plated a pair to highlight the Bulls stampede. Almonte handed the ball
to Brian Esperson for the final two scoreless frames, and the two combined on a seven hitter. Geoff Flowers stroked a two run
double in the fifth inning to lead the Laundryman couter attack.
TESCO clubbed Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 15-2 in the final game of the weekend at Ainsworth. Shaine Patsilevas highlighted the
TESCO 13 hit parade with four safties, including two doubles, four runs scored, two RBIs and three stolen bases. Ray DeVaul
tossed a complete game four hitter for the vicotry, striking out four along the way. Jon Roncolato plated four runs for TESCO.
7-15-2011 Buells Corners defeated Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 6-3 at Ainsworth Thursday Evening behind Jon Mang's complete game
three hit gem. Mang punched out 8 batters over seven innings for the victory. Nick Lombardo led the Bulls charge with three hits
including an RBI and teammate Mark Tupek added an RBI two bagger. Ford Eisenman, Cody Kondrick and Billy Colt joined
Lombardo and Tupek with an RBI each.
7-14-2011 Harrington strengthened thier grip on first place with a 6-4 victory over TESCO Wednesday Evening at Ainsworth. Joe
Gnacinski earned the win scattering four hits over five innings and striking out four batters. Matt Lewis led the offense with three
safties, while teammates Eric Hansen, Josh Shorts, Dave Gnacinski, and Matt Rensel all chipped in two hits each with Rensel
slamming a solo homer in the 4th frame. Lewis also picked up the save tossing the final two frames and striking out three. Brian
King slammed two hits for TESCO.
7-13-2011 Butera's Towing swept into town Tuesday Evening unleashing a fouteeen hit attack on Buells Corners to blank the
Bulls 11-0 at Ainsworth Field. Bryant Watts tossed a complete game 3 hitter and punched out three batters for the victory. Jon
Messina plated a trio of Butera's runs and Josh Melquist plated a pair to help lead the charge. The victory pushes Butera's into
sole possession of the fourth spot in the GBL standings with a little over two weeks left to go.
TESCO downed Hunter's Inn/Bud Light Monday Evening at Ainsworth 10-0 with a thirteen hit attack. Kyle Harpster and Lee
Rohan each stroked three safties each, with Harpster plating three runs. Fred "Big Cat" Veith clawed two hits including a double
and teammate Jeff Jones picked up the win with a five inning nine strikeout performance. The win propels TESCO into third place
in the GBL standings.
7-11-2011 The Rambler 9 started a Saturday double dip at Ainsworth with a 10-0 decision over Hunter's Inn/Bud Light. Tyler
Fisher authored a complete game shutout, punching out five and scattering two hits for the win. Phil Sorensen, Eric Hess, and
Terry Carson each plated a pair of runs, with Hess driving in his runs with a double.
In the second game Harrington edged the Ramblers 5-2 behind Dave Gnacinski's five inning five strikeout performance. Matt
Rensel delivered a two run single in the pivitol four run second inning for the Laundrymen and teammate Bo Corbett added a pair
of RBIs. Terry Carson slammed a shot to right field, his third of the season, to lead the Rambler counter attack.
Sunday was a busy day in the GBL with four games on the slate. In an unreported game the Rambler 9 defeated the Panthers 3-1
to start the doule header at Ainsworth. In game two Harrington topped the Panthers 9-5 to strengthen thier grip on first place in
the GBL standings. Ricky Hulsinger fired a five inning two strikeout effort to earn this win, and Joe Gnacinski tossed the last two
picking up a pair of strikeouts and the save. Josh Shorts stroked the big hit of the game lacing a three run double in the
Laundrymen's three run fifth inning.
Butera's came from behind to edge TESCO 3-2 in the first game of a double header at Jammer's Stadium in Jamestown. Brian
Gunnell flipped a complete game five hitter and punched out five batters for the win. He outdueled TESCO's Ray DeVaul, who
also allowed five hits and punched out three. Josh Melquist and Nick Lohr plated runs for the Butera's offense and with the score
tied 2-2 in the seventh and bases loaded the winning run scored on a errent double play throw by TESCO.
In game two TESCO hurler Matt Palisin and catcher John Fette used thier extensive experience to limit the Jamestown squad to
three hits. Kyle Harpster swung the hot bat for TESCO plating a pair of runners with a two out two run single to center field.
Palisin fanned six batters in his complete game victory, and both Palisin and Fette endured dozens of "old" jokes and survived
the game without (major) injury.
7-9-2011 TESCO defeated Buells Corners Thursday at Ainsworth 6-3 on the strength of Greg Radwan's complete game seven hit
performance. Radwan punched out three Bulls and issued only one base on balls. Shaine Patsilevas and Jon Roncolato paced the
TESCO offense with two RBIs each, with Lee Rohan and Brandon Crum also plating runs in the ten hit Attack.
The Panthers downed Hunter's Inn/Bud Light Friday at Ainsworth 6-1. Andy Wallen toed the rubber for the Panthers and flipped
a complete game four hitter. Mark Ladesic keyed the three run first with a two run single. Teammates Derrick Johnson plated two
and Bryan Colish plated an addition run to complete the Panther offense.
7-7-2011 First Place Harrington Laundry scored 13 runs in the third inning to earn a lopsided 14-0 victory over Butera's Towing
Wednesday Evening at Ainsworth. Ricky Hulsinger allowed a single hit in four innings to record the shutout victory and
teammates Jon Dziomba and Kirk Reynolds each plated a pair of runners. Butera's falls into a tie for fourth place with the loss and
Harrington sits on top of the standings alone with a 10-4 mark.
7-6-2011 The Rambler 9 overpowered Buells Corners 8-3 Tuesday Evening at Brabender field behind Jared Fatica's two run
double in the three run fourth inning. Dave Spaeder earned the win fanning four in three innings and teammates Phil Sorensen,
Matt Adamczyk and Tyler Fisher each plated runs for the Rambler offense. The race for the top four spots is heating up with less
that two games seperating five squads.
7-5-2011 The Laundrymen fought their way into first place with a strong Weekend performance, defeating Hunter's Inn/Bud Light
Friday and Buell's Corners Saturday. Harrington edged Hunter's Inn 2-1 at Ainsworth Friday on the strength of Joe Gnacinski's
strong relief effort striking out a pair of batters to work out of a bases loaded jam. Josh Shorts drew a walk to start the fifth, stole
second and scored on a wild pitch to pull ahead. Jamie Gaertner stroked an RBI single in the third to lead the Hunter's Inn counter
attack
Saturday morning the Laundrymen continued by defeating Buells Corners 13-9 at Ainsworth. Matt Lewis and Josh Dziomba led
the attack each plating a trio of runs, with Jon Dziomba adding a pair of RBIs. Matt Lewis earned the win working six and two
thirds of an inning while punching out seven, and Dave Gnacinski earned the save by recording the final out. Matt Maya
slammed a two run homer for Buells Corners.
TESCO edged The Rambler 9 in the second game Saturday 1-0 behind Greg Radwan's complete game two hitter. Radwan's
counterpart Jeremy Cressley also allowed only two hits, but surrendered a lone talley in the second frame with a bases loaded
walk to TESCO's Jeff Jones. Radwan fanned eleven and issued a single walk en route to his complete game victory.
Butera's Towing clubbed Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 11-0 at Ainsworth to start the Sunday triple header. Bret Heath led the offense
with three RBIs including a two run double in the seven run second frame. Jordan Bardo chipped in 2 RBIs and Ryan Lucas and
Justin Vara combined for a no-hitter, with Lucas earning the win.
In the second game the Rambler 9 topped Butera's 6-2 behind Terry Carson's two Home Run performance, joining teammate Matt
Adamczyk with a pair of RBIs. Landon Wahl earned the win with fiving innings of work and three strikouts. Rambler First
Baseman Eric Hess chipped in three safties and an RBI.
In the final game Buells Corners topped The Panthers 5-3. Ford Eisenman stroked two hits and scored three times, and Tony
Tupek plated three runs. Travis Butched earned the victory with five innings of work and seven strikeouts, and Edwin Almonte
tossed the final two frames and punched out four batters.
6-30-2011 The Harrington Laundrymen charged into second place with a 6-5 victory over The Panthers at Ainsworth Wednesday
evening behind David Duffett's big day at the plate. Duffett slammed a homer in the fourth and added a RBI two bagger in the
final frame. Ricky Hulsinger gutted out a complete game nail biter on the hill, scattering five hits and de-clawing nine cats for the
win. Bryan Colish led the counter attack with a two run long ball in the first.
Ray DeVaul tossed a complete game five hitter to lead TESCO 4-2 past The Rambler 9 at Brabender. DeVaul struck out six and
teammate Brian King slammed three hits to pace the TESCO attack. Billy Hughes chipped in an inside the park round tripper to
seal up the victory. Joe Lauria led the Rambler charge with two hits including an RBI triple in the fifth inning.
6-29-2011 Buells Corners emerged victorious in a battle of the first place teams by blanking Butera's Towing 5-0 at Brabender
Tuesday Evening. Travis Butcher tossed five shutout innings for the win and struck out twelve batters. Tony Tupek plated a pair
of Bulls to pace the offense and Jim Travers chipped in two hits, including an RBI two bagger. Buells Corners remains in sole
possession of first place with a 7-3 mark, while Butera's falls to third place sporting a 6-4 record.
6-28-2011 Matt Palisin tossed a two hit complete game shutout to lead TESCO past Harrington 3-0 Monday Evening at
Ainsworth. Palisin punched out five Laundrymen and walked only one batter. Shaine Patsilevas keyed the TESCO second inning

6-27-2011 The weather finally cooperated and helped set the stage for a packed schedule in the Glenwood League with back to
back triple headers at Ainsworth Field. With June winding down the playoff race is beginning to take shape with a large pack of
teams battling for the top four spots.
Dave Korbel led the Panthers past the Rambler 9 Saturday by tossing a three hit ten strikeout performance to emerge with the win
2-1. Brent Macko plated the winning run to start the solid weekend for the Panthers.
The Harrington @ Butera's Game was moved to July 31st at the Jammers Stadium in Jamestown, and in the nightcap Butera's
downed Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 11-3 to up their record to 6-3, continuing the team's hot streak.
Sunday morning the Rambler 9 rebounded from their Saturday loss by clubbing Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 14-5 behind Jeremy
Cressley's six inning ten strikeout gem. Connor Connell and Matt Adamczyk paced the Rambler charge with three RBIs each, and
joined Joe Lauria, Phil Sorensen, and Mitch Anderson with multiple safties. Jay Freed and Brandon Fresch led the Hunter's
counter attack with a pair of safties each.
The Panthers blanked Hunter's Inn 11-0 in the second game behind Andy Wallen's right arm. Wallen flipped a complete game
four hitter and punched out four batters for the victory. Derek Baumann, Brent Macko, Brian Colish and Mark Ladesik all plated
two runners for the Cats. The loss ends a long weekend for Hunter's Inn, leaving Ainsworth Sunday with a 1-11 mark. The
Panthers are now poised at .500 with a 4-4 record.
TESCO blanked Buells Corners 2-0 in the final game of the weekend with Greg Radwan allowing a single hit and striking out
seven Bulls in his complete game gem. TESCO got on the board in the fifth with Eric Harpster scoring on a throwing error and Lee
Rohan tacked on another run in the sixth with an RBI single to left.
6-22-2011 - In an unreported game Harrington defeated Buells Corners 6-2 Tuesday Evening at Ainsworth.

TESCO rolled to a 7-0 victory over Hunter's Inn/Bud Light Monday evening at Ainsworth. Brandon Crum led the offense with
three safties and Greg Radwan plated a pair of runs. Ray DeVaul earned the victory with five innings of work, scattering three hits
and punching out 6 batters.
Butera's Towing started the Sunday Triple Header off at Ainsworth with a pair of victories, defeating The Panthers 6-5 and
TESCO 5-1. Matt Laporte and Jon Messina led the way in the first contest with a pair of RBIs each and Bryant Watts earned the
victory in relief, tossing two innings and punching out three cats.
In the second game Brian Gunnell scattered five hits and punched out eight TESCO batters to earn the complete game victory.
Cody Hoth keyed the four run fourth inning with a two run double down the left field line. Matt LaPorte singled home Jon
Messina to start the scoring in the first frame.
In the Nightcap the Rambler 9 edged Harrington 2-1 behind Matt Adamczyk's heavy lumber. Adamczyk stroked a pair of doubles
and plated both Rambler tallies. Dave Spaeder flipped a complete game five hitter to earn the hard fought win. Joe Gnacinski
plated the Laundrymen's sole run in the seventh with a single.
Saturday's contest at Ainsworth was unreported, but Buell's Corners defeated The Rambler 9 by a score of 6-4.
Friday Eveneing the Harrington Laundrymen blasted Hunters inn 13-2 on the strength of a ten run third inning. Eric Hansen,
Dave Gnacinski, JB Britton, Kirk Reynolds and Josh Dziomba each plated a pair of runs, and Ricky Hulsinger took a no hitter into
the fifth, and ended up with a three hit complete game performance.
The Thursday game between Buells Corners and The Panthers was cancelled after the Brabender bases went missing. They have
still not been returned.
6-16-2011 - Bryant Watts led Butera's past Harrington 11-3 at Ainsworth Tuesday. Watts led the Jamestown crew by plating four
runs and flipping a complete game; punching out six laundrymen for the win. Jordan Bardo and Jon Messina added a pair of RBIs
each to the Butera's attack.
The Rambler 9 stayed hot, blanking Hunter's Inn/Bud Light Wednesday at Ainsworth 8-0. Matt Adamczyk knocked in four runs
to pace the Rambler offense and Phil Sorensen chipped in two RBIs. Landon Wahl closed the door on Hunter's with a five inning
seven strikeout performance.
6-14-2011 - Andy Wallen and the Panthers defended a seventh inning TESCO rally to emerge victorious 8-7 at Ainsworth
Monday Evening. Wallen tossed a complete game and punched out six TESCO batters to earn the victory, and teammate Brett
Macko knocked three safeties to lead the Panther Attack. Dave Bihler plated a pair of runs as well for the Jungle Cat offense.
Brian King led the TESCO counter attack with two doubles and three RBIs, and Lee Rohan slammed a solo homer in the third
inning.
6-13-2011 - This weekend was home to four GBL games starting Saturday with Buells Corners clubbing Hunter's Inn/Bud Light
13-0 at Ainsworth Field. Travis Butcher authored a six inning shutout and fanned six. The Bull attack featured 14 hits to power
the squad to a league leading 5-0 record.
The Rambler 9 started the Sunday triple header with a 4-1 decision over Butera's Towing at Ainsworth. Jeremy Cressley notched
his third win of the season with a complete game five hitter, punching out eight and walking none. The Ramblers plated two runs
in the second and two more in the sixth highlighted by Connor Connell and Joe Lauria's two hit performances.
Butera's edged TESCO 2-1 in the second game behind Brian Gunnell's complete game two hitter. Bryant Watts knocked in the
first run with a single in the third inning and the decisive run scored on a throwing error in the fifth. Gunnell outduelled Matt
Palisin who scattered 8 hits and struck out five.
Harrington introduced Buells Corners to the loss column in the nightcap by scoring five runs in the top of the tenth inning to
defeat the Bulls 12-7. The Laundrymen attack was led by J.B. Britton with 2 doubles and three RBIs, while teammates Jon and
Josh Dziomba, and Bo Corbett chipped in two RBIs each. Jim Travers plated a pair of runs in the Bull's counter-attack.
6-11-2011 - Ian Beezub flipped a five hit, ten strikeout shutout at Ainsworth Friday Night to lead Hunter's Inn/Bud Light into the
win column over The Panthers 1-0. Rick Fresch knocked in Sajen Hunt with a third inning single to provide the game's lone talley.
Hunt singled, his second hit of the evening, and stole second to set up Fresch's base knock. The Panthers fall to 1 and 3 with the
loss.
6-8-2011 - Buells Corners remained undefeated behind Jon Mang's strong relief pitching and Ford Eisenman's base clearing
double to top the Rambler Nine 7-4. Mang took over with one out in the second inning and shut the door for the remander of the
game, punching out five Ramblers along the way. Ford Eisenman highlighted the three run third inning with his two bagger and
Mark Tupek started the Buells attack in the first inning with a two run double. Joe Lauria led the counter attack with two RBIs.
Buells remains undefeated at 4-0 while the Rambler 9 fall to 3-2.
6-7-2011 - The Harrington Laundrymen rallied in the bottom of the seventh to edge TESCO 8-7 at Ainsworth Monday Evening in
a battle of the oldest GBL Franchises. Jon Dziomba led the Laundryman attack with two RBIs and teammate Bo Corbet added an
RBI two bagger to highlight the four run sixth inning. With one down in the seventh the Laundrymen forced the bases full and
scored two runs on a double play throwing error to walk off victorious. Joe Gnacinski earned the victory in relief tossing three
innings and allowing a lone run in the seventh. Jon Roncolato paced the TESCO counter attack with a three hit, three RBI
performance and Kyle Harpster chipped in a two run single in the fourth inning.
6-6-2011 - The GBL bats woke up yesterday with two teams invoking the ten run rule in this Sunday's Ainsworth double dip. The
Rambler 9 started the day with a 10-0 clubbing of the Panthers and Jeremy Cressley tossed this season's second no-no. Cressley
fanned six batters and walked none in the five inning affair, and was two hit batsmen away from the perfecta. Teammates Matt
Adamczyk and Tyler Fisher ignited the offense with three RBIs each, and Connor Connell added a two run double to the Rambler
attack.
TESCO continued the offensive surge with a nine hit, ten run attack in game two against Hunter's Inn/Bud Light. Kyle Harpster
led the charge with a three run homer to right field in the second inning and teammate Brian King knocked in three runs. Greg
Radwan tossed four innings and punched out four batters for the victory. Eric Harpster added a pair of doubles and Dustin
Coleman, playing his first game in a TESCO uniform, struck the game winning sac fly to score Brian "The Greyhound" King - the
TESCO speedster's third run scored of the game.
6-5-2011 - Friday evening at Brabender the Harrington Laundrymen topped the Panthers 8-5 behind Ricky Hulsinger's six inning
gem. The veteran righty scattered six hits and punched out six Panthers for the victory. Alex Merkley and Kirk Reynolds paced
the Laundryman attack with a pair of RBIs each with most of the dammage coming in the six run first inning. Matt Ladesic led the
Cat's counter-attack with a pair of two baggers and Panther Hurler Andy Wallen took the loss despite working six innings and
faning three.
Saturday afternoon Buells Corners remained undefeated by holding off Hunter's Inn/Bud Light 10-9 in a nail biter at Ainsworth
Field. Travis Butcher earned the win with five shutout innings, but The Hunter Crew rallied for four and five runs in the sixth and
seventh inning to knock on the door. Bob Shartle led the Buells attack with a three run blast in the six run first inning while
teammate Jon Mang added a pair of RBIs. Ian Beezub and Tony Jenco plated a pair of runs each for Hunter's Inn/Bud Light, and
Matt Heslop saddled the tough loss. Action continues today with a double header at Ainsworth starting at 2:00.
6-3-2011 - Butera's Towing entered the win column Thursday evening with a 13-0 victory over Hunters Inn/Bud Light in an
unreported game. Action continues tonight at Brabender with Harrington hosting the Panthers.
6-2-2011 - In an unreported game the Rambler 9 defeated Harrington 13-4 at Ainsworth.
6-1-2011 - Buells Corners edged TESCO 6-5 at the steamy jungle of Brabender Field Tuesday Night. The Bulls slugged nine hits
and Tony Tupek led the charge with a pair of RBIs. The TESCO offense threatened early with bases loaded in the first and
second innings, but Buells defense turned a double play in the first and a triple play in the second against the mobility
challanged TESCO squad to extinguish the threats.
Jon Mang shut the door on TESCO and earned the win tossing the final two innings. Ray DeVaul shackled the tough loss after
flipping a complete game and punching out six Bulls. The Bulls up thier record to 2-0 on the season and TESCO drops to 1-2.
5-30-2011 - Last season's regular season champions Butera's Towing endured a tough Saturday dropping two games at
Ainsworth to The Panthers and Buells Corners. The Panthers started the afternoon with a 3-1 victory behind Dave Korbel's right
arm. The Panther righty racked up ten strikouts in seven innings for the win, and Brent Macko paced the offense with three
safties, including an RBI two bagger. Derrick Johnson and Doug Farley added back to back RBI singles in the third frame to put
the Cats up for good. Josh Melquist plated Butera's lone tally in the forth.
Buells Corners edged Butera's 1-0 in a pitcher's showdown in the second game at Ainsworth Saturday. Travis Butcher emerged
victorious striking out ten while scattering two hits, and his counterpart Ricky Carlson tossed a three hitter and allowed a single
run in the sixth inning. Kody Kodrick doubled home Tony Tupek for the contest's sole run.
The Rambler 9 began Sunday's Doubleheader with a 7-0 victory over Hunter's Inn/Bud Light. Jeremy Cressley earned the victory
with five innings of work and thirteen punchouts, and Tyler Fisher led the offense with a pair of RBIs. Joe Lauria, Jake Perez,
Keith Blazek and Mitchel Anderson all added RBIs for the Ramblers.
In the nightcap TESCO edged the Rambler Nine 2-0 behind Greg Radwan's one hit, complete game shutout. Radwan walked three
batters in seven innings of work for the win, whiel Rambler Hurler David Spaeder scattered eight hits over five innings in the
tough loss. Brian King and John Fette plated both runs in the first inning for the only scores of the contest.
5-26-2011 - Joe Gnacinski and the Harrington Laundrymen opened the 2011 season in grand fashion with Gnacinski tossing a
no-hitter at defending champs TESCO. The Laundryman's tall righthander attacked the strike zone allowing a single free pass in
the first inning while fanning eight. Gnacinski worked ahead of the TESCO batters all evening allowing just two base runners in
seven innings.
Alex Merkley started the Harrington second with a two bagger down the line and Bo Corbett plated him with a sharp single to
left. Dave Gnacinski and Josh Dziomba both plated insurance runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning and that was all they
needed to coast to a 3-0 victory.
