2010 Kid's Baseball Clinic
2010 Marks the first time the Glenwood Baseball League will play at Jerry Uht Park! Doors open at 1:00 and we are holding a kid's clinic from 1:30 to 4:00 for boys and girls ages 7 to 12. The clinic is pre-register only and all the information and forms can be downloaded here:

2010 HR DERBY
The Home Run Derby will start at 4:30 and the following players will participate this year:

Don Massoud is running this year's Home Run Derby and can be contacted at 814-823-4776.
Participants will have 10 outs in the first round with any struck ball, fair or foul, that does not clear the fence in fair territory, or swing and miss counting as an out. The top four and ties will advance to the second round and recieve an additional 10 outs, with the highest total from the first round batting last. The top two will advance to the finals and 10 more swings with the highest point total from the previous rounds batting last. The finalists will switch after five outs.
Home Run totals are NOT cumulative and are wiped clean at the start of each consecutive round. Point totals will only count toward the batting order in each subsequent round. Aluminum bats are accepted and each home run is worth a single point, with wood bat home runs worth 2 points each.

Coach Joe Lunger will be honored in the pre-game ceremony in recognition for his tremendous contributions to baseball in Erie PA, and the many players in the Glenwood League whose lives he touched.
Jay Puskar from WICU TV12 will throw out the first pitch at 7:00. Dave Leisering from Mercyhurst College will be the Public Address Announcer and our very own John Leisering will be announcing the game on the Image Sports Network Broadcast which will be recorded at the event.
